In 1976, Melissa McCormick, was raped by 8 men over a 12 hour period. She waited to write her book. Now after much healing she is able to tell her story. It is full of hope and inspiration.
Read her Mission statement below to see how she has dedicated her life to the "Cause".
"THE QUEEN'S DAUGHTER" MISSION "The Cause"
To openly and publicly speak out on behalf of victims of sexual assault and domestic violence, who do not yet have the courage to do so themselves.
To support victims with strength counseling, coaching and advocacy. To provide emotional and financial support.
To help educate students about sexual assault and the aftermath by way of school speeches and interactive workshops.
To offer support, dialogue and to answer questions via the internet and email.
To share my personal experience and knowledge with victims and to help them understand that they are not alone.
To set an example and become a mentor to victims everywhere.
